Following evening prayer, January 9th 2017, the community of the brothers’ Generalate in Rome began the all night adoration in anticipation of the celebration of the day when, two hundred years ago, the SSCC Congregation was recognized by the Holy See.
Together with the community of the sisters’ Generalate, the commemoration of the Bicentennial was solemnly celebrated on January 10th with the Eucharist at 11:30. The Mass was presided by David Reid, the Postulator General. Proper for a historical occasion, the spiritual meal was followed by a simple but delicious family meal on a long table.
May our presence as a religious Congregation in the Church continue to give honor and glory to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Amen.
