Sunday 21 April in Picpus was a day of exchange with the Province of Africa. After the Eucharist celebrated by Maxime Menga sscc and animated by Congolese singers, a good part of the afternoon was spent in the company of our Picpucian brothers and sisters from the Democratic Republic of Congo: Véronique, Camille, Benjamin, Jean-Bosco and Hervé. There were almost thirty people present (brothers, sisters and lay people) who gathered to witness about life in the Congo, and in particular the commitment to education by SSCC, parish life, the mission of accompaniment and formation (initial and ongoing).
After an earlier taste of the Province of Indonesia, this second meeting confirms the objective of realising in Picpus a project that gives witness to our religious life by integrating concretely the international vocation of our congregation. Interdependence must become a dominant theme in the life of our communities. At a time when "turning in on oneself" is taking hold in our societies, it is essential to show "the challenge and the joys of communities without borders”.
Thank you to our brothers and sisters for their witness to the Province of Africa.
