On May 14, a moment of deep faith and emotion was experienced during the celebration of the Centennial of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts in Brazil, held at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace – Church of Blessed Father Eustaquio, in Belo Horizonte.
At the beginning, the faithful gathered to pray the rosary for the Canonization of Blessed Father Eustaquio, entrusting to the Sacred Hearts the people's desire to see our missionary of health and peace elevated to the altars.
Afterwards, the Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated, marked by deep spirituality and moments of great emotion. Edvaldo Carneiro sscc offered a historical overview, recalling the arrival of the first missionaries in Brazil: Father Eustaquio, Father Mathias, and Father Gil.
In his homily, the Provincial Superior, Osvânio Mariano sscc, highlighted the values that have guided the mission of the Sacred Hearts and the testimony left over these 100 years. With gratitude and faith, the brothers and sisters of the Sacred Hearts remain steadfast in their evangelizing mission.
