As part of the canonical visit to the Flemish delegation, on 1 October, the Superior General, Alberto Toutin and Jean Blaise, visited the ss.cc sisters' community in Leuven. A fraternal dialogue took place that started with the presentation of each and a word from Alberto outlining what is happening in the Congregation. He reminded us of the importance of our inner life: How is our inner life? How can we recognise that we are in good spiritual health? Alberto emphasised two points:
* During a visit to Father André Bruneel (99 years old), Albert asked him the question: “Do you have a message for the Congregation?” Father Bruneel's response: "The brothers must be convinced to live with Christ". This is a very important dimension of our life. This is true for all of us: brothers, sisters and lay. It is also true for the whole Congregation all over the world.
* For Alberto, when we are in good health, we equate our mission with our work and our respective strengths. But as we get older and grow older, we experience weakness and fragility. This can become our strength too. When we go to pray to the parish with the people of God and let ourselves be challenged by simple people we are in mission.
At the end we shared refreshments. This all took place in an open atmosphere and family Spirit Also present were our brothers Gilbert and Frits.
