Nine novices of the province of Indonesia made their first profession on July 3, at St. Damien´s Church in Batam. The provincial superior, Krisusanto Nugroho presided at the Eucharist and the Superior General, Javier Álvarez-Ossorio, received the vows of these new brothers: Abel Melo Blikon, Joseph Emanuel Swim, FX Sumartana, Nicholas Mulia Eduard Sidabutar, Fenantius Junaed, Ambrosius Yunardi Sinaga, Stefanus Anthony Tada Lengari, Adrianus Fransdany Ridho Manurung and Nobertus Beni.
The profession coincides with the “SSCC ministries Seminar” and because of that a great number of brothers and sisters participated in the celebration.
The novitiate house is located in the OASE Center, the retreat house of the province of Indonesia, also on the island of Batam.
