From 5-9 August the annual retreat of the area of ??Ecuador took place in the Retreat Centre run by the Dorotean Sisters (Quito). Brothers from the four local communities participated. Father Martín Gronda led the retreat drawing on from the General Chapter document on the care of the “inner life” of the religious and priests of the Congregation. On the last day, the annual report of the provincial government (2018-2019) was presented with commentary and progress was made regarding proposals for pastoral and missionary conversion in the Province. In the following days the government team held their meeting in the same house. On Sunday 11, the provincial and the councilors attended the Eucharist in which Fr. Javier Íñiguez sscc was installed as the new pastor of the Sacred Hearts Parish of San Carlos in the city of Quito.
