
Transition program was held in Philippines Cainta Brothers’ house – Picpus Community from 20th of May to 10th of June, 2026. There were 7 Prenovices brothers and sisters coming from Vietnam ( Rafael), India ( Ferash and Jhima), and Indonesia (Wilda, Imelda, Johny and Krist).
This program was as part of the common Pre-novitiate program of the Brothers and Sisters, to have an immediate preparation of the newly accepted novices before Novitiate. They were accompanied by the ad hoc team for this year 2026: Bro. Marvick ss.cc. and Sr. Jayanti ss.cc. Through this program prenovices were helped to acclimate themselves to their host country and also were introduced the culture and cultural values and peoples of the Philippines. They develoved meaningful personal and communal relationships among the prenovices Brothers and Sisters. They shared their cultural background and cultural values. They had some specific topics with resource persons like: Integration of the group, exploring Philippine culture, learning about Indonesian, Vietnam and Indian Cultures, reflection / presentation on intercultural diversity and visiting the Congregation’s presence in Manila. This helped them to grow in their understanding and appreciation of the internationality of the Congregation and the cultures represented. They were also learned a few basic expressions in Tagalog, Vietnames, Indians and Indonesians. They concluded this program in the morning on the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with a day of celebration during the gathering of brothers and sisters in Silang Cavite by wearing traditional costumes with traditional cultural program and traditional food from various countries and in the evening they celebrated as an entrance to the Novitiate.
