On June 15, Bishop Kornelius Sipayung, OFM Cap, celebrated the opening Eucharist for the delegates of the Biblical Commission of the Sumatra Region at the Catholic Center in Medan.
In his homily, he encouraged participants from the six dioceses of Pangkal Pinang, Palembang, Padang, Medan, Tanjung Karang, and Sibolga to use this gathering as an opportunity to reflect, share experiences, and strengthen their commitment to biblical ministry. He emphasized that it is not enough simply to know the Bible; we must also read it, reflect on it, and live its message in our daily lives.
As the Coordinator of the Biblical Commission of the Archdiocese of Medan, Fr. Paulus Halek Bere sscc, has been entrusted with leading and organizing this important meeting.
