On Sunday, December 20, the SSCC sisters Youth Vocation Ministry Task Force met virtually:
Noemí García from Spain, Vandana Narayan from India, Ellen Buyuccan from the Philippines, Edith Paredes Tapia from Peru, Carmen Gloria Mancilla from Chile, Aurora Laguarda from the General Government, and who did the translation for us.
During 2019 and 2020, work has been done to respond to the request of the 36th General Chapter: 'Elaboration of a plan for the integral accompaniment of young people'.
One of the objectives has been to compile what is being done in each Zone and Territory and to synthesize the common aspects in each Zone, taking into account the general orientations and the reality of the young people.
At our meeting we shared an interesting article "Last questions", which posed a key question to the pastoral agents: How and where are we? In the light of this, we commented and reflected on our role as accompaniers and the reality of youth ministry that we are living where we are, as well as that of the territories. We noted that there are several challenges present.
Afterwards we discussed the objectives of our pastoral action and what we understand by "Itinerary and process". In this way we were able to socialise the challenge that has been asked of us.
The next meeting will be at the end of February. It was a free and challenging time, and above all, to learn more about the journey we are making with the young people.
