In Belo Horizonte, Alberto Toutin sscc and Fernando Cordero sscc had the opportunity to meet on the morning of April 21 with the Provincial Government of Brazil, who offered the visitors an overview of the reality of Brazil and Paraguay. They discussed some aspects of the upcoming Provincial Chapter and reflected on the unification of Brazil–Paraguay. The Chapter is a moment that awakens dreams and desires among the brothers, so an effort will be needed to make the guidelines more concrete.
In the afternoon of April 21, the visitors met with the Economic Commission, where the financial situation of the Province, its challenges, and its future were presented. They also watched a video showing the properties owned by the brothers in Brazil.

On the morning of April 22, they met with Edvaldo Carneiro sscc, Provincial Coordinator of Vocational Ministry. The meeting revolved around this question: What are we inviting young people to in our proposal? The spirituality of the Sacred Hearts and the spirit of family emerged as key elements. Edvaldo highlighted the figure of Saint Damien of Molokai as a “great promoter of vocations” in the Congregation. In Brazil, several in-person vocational meetings are held each year, and the time young people spend in the community of Pindamonhangaba, home of the prenovitiate, is also highly valued.
The visitors began their interviews with the brothers of the Belo Horizonte community, starting with the eldest: Father Hilario França sscc, who, in his illness, emphasizes how at this moment in his life “God is stronger.”
