A meeting of the Commission of Spiritual and Historical Patrimony took place In the General House of the sisters (Via Aurelia) on 24 September. Among other issues, there was an evaluation of the various documentation that had been prepared and distributed regarding the SSCC brothers who were shot during the Paris Commune. We also began to outline our work for the coming months concerning pastoral discernment, using as a background the experience of our Founders.
In addition, the Commission was charged with preparing guidelines for community reflection and adoration for significant moments in the calendar of the Congregation. A new issue of Cahiers de Spiritualité on vows is also being studied. Andrzej Lukawski reported on the progress of the cause of the Founders and our SSCC brothers who were shot during the Paris Commune. Eric Hernout was unable to attend due to family reasons. At the end of the meeting, the group celebrated the Eucharist together with the local community, followed by a typical Italian dinner with pizza.
