In preparation for the forthcoming world meeting of the Secular Branch (July 7-9, 2023), the Spiritual Animation Team of the Secular Branch met virtually with representatives from the USA, Latin America, Europe, French Polynesia, Indonesia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. At the beginning of the meeting, the Superior General, Alberto Toutin, spoke about the need to "contribute to the necessary reforms of the Church, so that we may be witnesses of the Love of God who loves our humanity as it is. May we witness to his love through service, dedication, listening and being close to the poor".
After the sharing of each of the representatives on possible themes for the meeting, some conclusions were drawn that SAT will continue to explore:
- Continuing with the conclusions of the International Meeting of El Escorial.
- How to continue to grow as SB.
- Looking for ways to facilitate young people participating in the meetings of SB.
- How are we sharing the common mission with brothers and sisters.
- The ‘profile’ of the sscc secular branch member.
This was a very active meeting, in which we shared our joy, hope and gratitude. Thus began the process of preparation for the international meeting of the secular branch in 2023.
