
Representatives of the Ecuadorian government and indigenous movements signed a Peace Act after 18 days of demonstrations. This turned out to be one of the first results of the dialogues led by the Ecuadorian Episcopal Conference (CEE), having as their objective the ending of the Indefinite National Strike. The signing of the document took place in the auditorium of the Santísima Trinidad parish, in Quito, on 30 June.
