May 1 was a happy day at the novitiates in Manila. We received one sister 
novice and two brother novices: ALICE CHIA-CHI LIU from Hawaii, born in Taiwan, PAUL BAYSON from the Philippines, and SOANE PATITA ULUTAUFONUA from Tonga.
The celebration of Initiation into Religious Life began at 5.30 pm in the chapel of the sisters. It was a simple but cheerful start of the novitiate. There was a strong sense of family spirit, with everyone participating in singing, followed by a simple meal where we listened to each other and started to know better each other.
