Assembly of the Province of Chile in Punta de Tralca (brothers)

According to tradition, the Chilean Province met during the last week of January for its annual assembly in Punta de Tralca, gathering this time almost all the brothers and the novices as well.

They were days of fraternal encounter, days to rest and to share the challenges we have as a province.

The theme for this year was: "Chilean Province, Quo Vadis?". In asking where we're going, we began to prepare our 18th Provincial Chapter. The main objective was to give us the space and the time to share our dreams of religious life and of our province, without the task of preparing a document. Thus, we shared our hopes for a religious life inserted into the lives of the poor, for  a more radical proclamation of the merciful love of God and more along the lines of Pope Francis. In the work of three mornings we shared the dreams of the young and of the elderly.

We dedicated significant time to celebrate our jubilarians in 2015. Among them are Antoine Knibily, Manuel Donoso (emeritus Archbishop of La Serena), Pablo Fontaine, César Rodríguez, René Cabezón, Ricardo Sotomayor and Sergio Pérez de Arce.

For the Chilean province this summer period marks a sacrament of brotherhood, of belonging to the community and invites us to walk together in following Jesus.
