Perpetual Professions of 5 brothers in Philippines (Brs)

This Saturday, December 17, five brothers have professed their perpetual vows in the Philippines, at the end of the six-month program of preparation for this definitive commitment as religious in the Congregation. They are Maxime Peterne Menga from the province of Africa; Archie Pérez Villegas, from the province of Japan-Philippines; Dionisius Watun and Stephanus Trihantoro of the province of Indonesia; and Arul Esthakkiyan from the region of India.

The profession was held during the Eucharist celebrated at 9:30 am in the parish of The Resurrection in Bagbag, which was presided by the CAP coordinator and Indonesian provincial Bonifasius Payong, along with the provincial of Japan-Philippines, Kenji Honma. The homily was in charge of the general councilor Pankras Olak, who commented on the text of John 15 where Jesus calls his own to love in the same way as he has loved them.

At the end of the Eucharist, Arul, on behalf of the new perpetually professed, gave thanks for all that had meant for the group to participate in the six-month program of preparation in the Philippines. Later, a lunch was partaken in the parish hall.

The other three brothers participating in the program will profess according to the guidelines of their own provinces of origin. They are José Rodríguez Caro from the Iberian province, Carlos Cuevas from the province of Mexico and Oscar Casanova from the province of Chile.
