It is for the first time that the executives of CAP meet in Tahiti (French Polynesia). The superiors of Asia have come to Papeete for this meeting. We regret that Sudhir Nayak (regional superior of India) has failed to come; he was not able to go beyond Bangkok because he lacked a transit visa for New Zealand, where he was to transit on the way to Tahiti.
The meeting of the Executives takes place in our house in Pirae -Tahiti, from 7 to 10 October. Participating in it are Kenji Honma (Provincial-elect of Japan-Philippines), Andy Healy (translator for Kenji), Nugroho Krisusanto (Provincial of Indonesia and coordinator of CAP), Léon Lemouzy (Regional Superior of French Polynesia), Christian Malrieu (Provincial of France, invited to the meeting), and Javier Alvarez-Ossorio (Superior General).
Among other issues, the Executive will address the need for greater support from Asia to the community in French Polynesia (going through moments of great weakness) and the program of common preparation for perpetual vows.
After this meeting, another meeting is scheduled with all the brothers in the region of French Polynesia. There will also be meetings with Mgr. Pascal Chang Soi (apostolic administrator of Tahiti) and the secular branch.
