From the 3rd to the 7th of January 2013 the brothers and sisters of the area of Mozambique met at the annual assembly in Boane. The main theme was the transmission of the General Chapters of 2012. Sister Colette Buhangiza presented the 35th GC of the sisters, highlighting the need to give a new face to the Congregation. Father Jean Blaise Mwanda presented the 38th GC of the brothers with a particular focus on mission, so that we become "useful" and "tasty" like salt. We must be salted with fire.
We had one day where the brothers worked alone in order to deepen in detail the document on mission. On the Sunday of Epiphany, four young sisters made their first profession. The Eucharist was presided by the Archbishop of Maputo, Dom Franscisco Chimoio.
We ended our assembly with the Eucharistic celebration presided by the Provincial Willy Mpia. Also took place the ceremony of the initiation into religious life, which was the entrance into the novitiate of two brothers, Ben Kumongo and Cedric Benonga and one sister, Nazianzen.
