Perpetual Profession of José Rosemberg (Mexico)

On Wednesday, 23 November, on the feast of the Good Mother, José Rosemberg Pérez Ruiz, made his final profession in the parish of San Isidro Labrador in Mexico City. The Eucharist was presided by the Provincial, Salvador Carlos Mendoza Mendoza.

In his homily, Carlos reflected on the vocation story of the prophet Samuel and particularly on the moment and circumstances in which Ana, his mother, consecrated him. Carlos thanked Joseph's mother and father who, through baptism, consecrated him to God and, over the years, formed him as a good Christian by giving him love and protection. Now that José is perpetually consecrated to the service of the Church in the Congregation, everything he learned and lived in the family and in the formation houses in Mexico and Chile becomes relevant. Samuel did not give up despite the blows that life dealt him. With his faith he faced adversity and helped the people to regain God's favor and protection. Carlos asked Joseph, in the current context of the Church and the world, to be like Samuel, to focus on the faithful service he has offered to God and to be patient, humble and grateful. Service and availability are two of Joseph's attitudes that Carlos highlighted as a significant contribution to the Church today.

At the end of the Eucharist, Carlos highlighted the figure of the Good Mother and thanked our Sisters of the Sacred Hearts for their presence and urged the community to replicate the work and spirituality of Henrietta Aymer. After the celebration, a fraternal meal was offered in a hall near to the parish.
