On Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd May, Derek and Alberto continued their visit to the brothers of Polanica Zdroj and its surroundings. Coinciding with their visit was an altar servers weekend that took place at the monastery of Christ the King. The servers and their families came from the parishes of Woclaw and Ovisnka. There were about 11 families in all who are involved with the liturgy in their home parishes. The day began with the Eucharist, followed by sports activities (football and table tennis). In the afternoon they gathered to sing the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This was followed by a barbecue. In fact, several brothers from the Polish province took part in similar meetings, when they themselves were servers in their parishes. An early vocation ministry.
On 3rd May, the anniversary of the Constitution of Poland (1791) and the feast of Mary Queen of Poland, Alberto and Derek celebrated mass in the parish of St. Mary Magdalene and from there went to the shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows in Stary Merislav. At the cemetery next to the church, they prayed for the brothers and sisters buried there in thanksgiving for their service to the Gospel.
