On the morning of Saturday, August 16, our brother Edmon Elmer REYES made his perpetual vows during the Mass celebrated in The Resurrection parish in the district of Bagbag, within what is known as Metro-Manila, Philippines. The celebration was chaired by Noel Flaviano sscc, parish priest and provincial delegate to receive these vows.
About 150 people gathered at the parish church to accompany Edmon, including SSCC brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and parishioners of the Bagbag Parish and Bagong Silang Parish where Edmon made his pastoral year.
From this moment, Edmon will transiently move to the Bagbag community; there he will prepare his travel to Japan, where he has been assigned by the provincial government: will initiate studies of the Japanese language and proceed to obtain the appropriate visa. This last step will define the date of his trip to Japan. The next provincial government of Japan-Philippines, which will be installed on 24 October this year, will set the schedule for Edmond’s ordinations to diaconate and priesthood.
