† Sr. María LOYOLA GARGALLO sscc (Spain)

San Lorenzo de El Escorial, June 5th 2007
    Dear Sisters,
On Sunday, 3rd June, feast of the Holy Trinity, our sister María Loyola GARGALLO went to her eternal home.
Maria Loyola was born in San Lorenzo de El Escorial on the 1st February, 1929. She made her novitiate in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, where she made temporary profession in 1952. Three years later, in 1955, she made final profession in Picpus.
After her first profession, she was sent to the community in Torrelavega. Since then she lived in the communities of Argomilla, Salamanca, Madrid-Mensajeros de la Paz, Madrid-Romero Girón, Madrid-Enriqueta Aymer. Finally in 2000 she arrived in El Escorial because she felt weak and tired.
She received with calmness, the news that she had to undergo a high risk operation. She accepted it with total lucidity and prepared for it with deep peace. Unfortunately her heart failed.
Maria Loyola’s life was characterized by simplicity and work. When she was active she looked after the sacristy and needs within the house. She was a gifted sewer. When she could no longer work, she put much affection and determination into her exquisite point work for “hands for the hope", a provincial initiative to help our missions.
The Eucharist was the center of her life. She loved to spend long hours in chapel, in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.
We are sure that Maria Loyola has been welcomed with infinite gentleness into the Heart of God. However, we ask the help of your prayers so that cleansed of all fault and imperfection, she can fully enjoy everlasting peace and happiness.
    United in the SS.CC.
