Poitiers, 9th July, 2007
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Sr. Anne-Marie LALY is the 5th person who had died in our community since January. For a long time she was confined to bed, she could not talk, but she always communicated with her lovely smile! Each day she received communion fully conscious.
Anne-Marie, Françoise Laly was born on the 28th August, 1909 in Guégon (Morbihan). She was baptized the same day and belonged to a very Christian family. She became a postulant in Picpus in 1930, and made her first vows in 1932 and her final vows in 1935. In Nantes she looked after the lady borders, in Yvetôt she was with the pupils until 1950. Anne-Marie then went to the community in Sées then to Boissy-St.-Leger in 1969 and she came to Poitiers in 2002 from the community in Mende.
Sr. Anne-Marie Laly always assumed this long “Sacred Hearts” journey with devotion and even with a smile. With pleasure we remember the malicious “winking of her eyes”!
A prayerful person, Sr. Anne-Marie loved to pray the rosary… The world was quite simply present. She was very attentive and participated in the community celebrations of forgiveness and the sacrament of the sick. She left us a testimony of peace and gentleness. She left us on the 22nd May 2007. We confide her to your prayers.
