On January 11, 2014, in Beira (Mozambique), our brother Jef Martens has deceased. Jef´s death was due to lack of oxygen. Last years he was almost continuously connected to an oxygen tank.
Jef was born in Meerssen on August 8, 1933. He made his first profession on September 24, 1954 and was ordained a priest on September 6, 1959. His spent his life in Africa (in Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia), with a break of several years in Portugal. He spent years working for the refugees in Mozambique.
